On our way to Miles Canyon, going hiking..

Lake Schwatka, float planes as we pass on the road up.
Yukon River is flowing thru the city of Whitehorse
heading North 1982 miles to the Bering Sea.
The water is crystal clear at this point and a beautiful blue.
Several hiking trails along the Canyon.
Just cross the suspension bridge and pick a trail...
it better be a beginners trail !

Come on will ya..Canyon City is just up the hill..
Canyon City is no more..in 1897 the city built a trolley
of stripped log rails to move the miners supplies around
and through the rapids.
You have got to be kidding me!
I'm not going down..you're gonna slip on those rocks!

This part goes straight down..the rocks are sliding!
