NEW YORK, NEW JERSEY SEPTEMBER 4

The rain had stopped overnight and the morning

 was beautiful- go figure on the day we're leaving.

Didn't get to see Mystic Seaport--maybe sometime.

I 95 South through New York driving along 

Long Island Sound over the Hudson and on to

New Jersey and Mahlon Dickerson 

Reservation near Lake Hopatcong.  

 Passing through the Connecticut cities of New

London, New Haven, Bridgeport, Norwalk, 

Stamford, Greenwich,and into New York and the

Bronx 

 Trucks and more Trucks heading west

 Are we on the right road?

 Yep!, George Washington Bridge ahead

 Got to keep in the right lane--follow the semi's

 Here we go-upper deck

Over we go to New Jersey

Get excited....

Tomorrow: we get to stay with the kids and grand kids!

MYSTIC,CT SEPTEMBER 3

Tuesday

Woke up to rain on the roof--a quick look outside--pouring.

Slipped back between the sheets for a little more snoring.

Maybe it will clear up and we can see Mystic Seaport 

and see all the boats.

Not happening, by 10am, still pouring.  We already did

touring in the rain in Canada--not too much fun.

So, we waited--storming, thunder, and lightning

Then the cable tv went out(satellite connection).

No internet either.

Rained all day-bummer

Sunday, we worked on the RV(greased frontend),

did laundry, walked the beach.

Monday (Labor Day)

Leaving the Cape and heading for Mystic, CT.

Traveling on the the main highway US 6--

busy this morning

Missed the turn in Newport, so we had a nice tour of

downtown.

Mystic Pizza, where the movie Mystic Pizza was

filmed with Julia Roberts, Matt Damon,

 Annabeth Gish.  Great pizza! plus
