Leaving beautiful Liard Hot Springs, traveling south
on the Alaska Highway.
Nice sunny morning
Lower Liard River
The French-Canadian voyageurs named this valley
for the poplar trees("Liard") that lined the banks of the river.
Sweeping views of the Liard River Valley

Trout River
Each bend is spectacular
But, oh the roads
Our driver is concentrating ..
Coming into Muncho Lake

Northern Rockies Lodge
Liked their Float Plane Model
Originally the Alaska Highway crossed here higher on
top of the cliffs-proved to be too dangerous. In 1942
they excavated the rock around the lake using horses
to haul away the rock.
This is the road following the shoreline of the lake.
Two nice campgrounds on the lake- Strawberry Flats
and Muncho Lake Provincial Park
Kinda tight
Looks like rain
Didn't see any today!
Beautiful turquoise colored Toad River
