Saturday in Anchorage: Visited the Alaska Native Heritage Center where we learned about all the different native tribes of Alaska, Athabascan, Yup'ik & Cup'ik,Inupiaq &St. Lawrence Island Yupik, Unangax & Alutiiq, and Eyak, and Tlingit,Haida & Tsimshian--where they live, what they live in, and the different cultures of each tribe--and watched them perform dances and song. They don't like to be called Eskimos(eaters of raw meat)--Inuit is proper.
After, we drove downtown to see what the Solstice Festival was like and looked at the vendors' stuff and headed back for a quick trip to Costco. Then gave "Dora" a bath.
