ST GEORGE ISLAND

Today we traveled to St George Island State Park, by a two lane highway through rural north Florida,
with dairy farms, forests, and small towns.  The road was decorated with colorful wild flowers all the way.

St George Island is a barrier island in the Gulf of Mexico south of Tallahassee connected by bridges.
Cape St George Lighthouse

As we motor toward the State Park, we pass many pastel colored stilt beach homes-very impressive.
Checked in, unhitched the Jeep and drove off leaving Karen stranded--I neglected to put the transfer
case in gear.  Got to our spot and backed right in with Karen's direction --just like we knew what we doing.
Nice spot!
The beach  goes on for miles and miles--sand dunes, pines, barren sandy beach---great walking!

And one lonely Bird

Only wildlife today---raccoons on the roof of the restrooms

HAPPY CAMPERS
